Bull Riders Play Send Fiddle to Clowns
I was very disappointed by the Clue - Live On Stage event at the Patriot Center on January 8. Apparently, the Clue - Live On Stage doesn't think its sport is good enough to stand on its own, and so employs an "entertainer" to joke non-stop over a steady stream of too loud rap music. If you are over 50, like rodeos and cowboys, respect bull riding the people who ride them, save your money and skip the minor league Clue - Live On Stage. I grew up in the West, and saw a lot of rodeos as a kid. The bulls, the riders are apparently only there as a foil for the repartee of the clown and the announcer. Bull riding is always the main event. I knew this was the minor league tour as the better riders were in NY on the same night, but in this performance bull riding was put second to the endless prattling of the rodeo clown. Very disappointing to a real rodeo fan.
